Congratulations LCol McGrath!

LColMcGrath_Lowres His Excellency, the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada has recently approved a Meritorious Service Medal for Lieutenant-Colonel T.F. (Thomas) McGrath of St. John’s, N.L.  LCol McGrath will accept the honour from His Excellency at a ceremony scheduled for January 2012 at Rideau Hall in Ottawa, in recognition of “outstanding leadership and dedication as the Branch Advisor of the Cadet Instructors Cadre at National Defence Headquarters in Ottawa, 2006 to 2010”.

Air cadet receives scholarship

Air Cadet League Crest  The Air Cadet League of Canada announced Wednesday, June 29, that Warrant Officer First Class Alexander Marc Doucette from 641 West Prince Squadron, Slemon Park, P.E.I., has been awarded the Birchall Scholarship for $8,000. 


NB CIC officers receive Lifetime Achievement Award

Balloon Fiesta both Fun and Fundraiser for NB Army Cadets

Balloon Fiesta Photo 2 Sussex, New Brunswick, hosted its 26th annual Atlantic Balloon Fiesta for hot air balloons from all over North America on the weekend of September 9 to 11. Tender Command and Tender Charge Boards

LCdr Callaghan and Lt(N) Valmo Successful completion of the Tender Officer in Charge Course provides candidates with their Tender Charge Qualification. To become Tender OIC Certified, personnel are required to complete on-the-job practical requirements prior to sitting a Naval Tender Board. Command/Charge boards are oral examinations that determine a candidate’s suitability/capability to carry out the duties of OIC.
