About the Cadet Flying Training Centre

The first air cadet gliding at Mountain View commented in 1967 when familiarization flights were provided for cadets at the Trenton Air Cadet Camp. A Glider Conversion Program for qualified power pilots commenced in 1969 with eight students on course. In 1971, the Glider Pilot Scholarship Program commenced at the new Glider Pilot Training School. This school was renamed the Central Region Gliding School (CRGS) in 1980.
