Welcome to the RCAOps / RGS Website!

The Regional Cadet Air Operations (RCAOps) is home to flight training in Pacific Region, and is located on 19 Wing Comox, an active Canadian Forces Base. This website is divided into two sections:

About RGS (Pacific)

During the fall through Spring, RCAOps provides many Cadets with the experience of flying, by coordinating glider familiarization flights across British Columbia. Links for RCAOps can be found on the left under RCAOps.

 

During the summer months, RCAOps transforms into the Regional Gliding School (RGS), a Cadet Summer Training Centre. Links for RGS can be found on the left under RGS.

What's New at Regional Gliding School (Pacific)?

Basic Aviation Course set to graduate next week.

Cadets on the Basic Aviation Course are well on their way to completing their course, with their graduation parade scheduled for Thursday, 29 July 2010. The first intake of this new, updated course has particpated in familiarzation flying, round-the-pole model building, hands-on propulsion laboratories and various other aviation topics. Power Cadets Fly High in Campbell River

Eleven cadets training at Discovery West Flight Center in Campbell River have completed intial training towards their private pilots licence and all have soloed.  For photos, see our photo gallery. (23 July 2010)
